Caol Ila 2010 1st fill Bourbon HHD Cask - has been finished for nearly a year in a specially made First Fill bourbon Hogsheads - which are larger than the usual casks - and it is the key to its unique style. It is the perfect balance between youthful smokiness and its maritime notes, as well as the gentle, sweet, caressing influence of oak. Despite the sharp smokiness, it is not an aggressive whiskey at all. On the contrary, it is smooth, rich in herbal notes and the oak never becomes too dominant.

Sweet classic Caol Ila aromas with smoke, peat and full of iodine, but also citrusy sensations

Flavor:

Bold creamy sweetness but without the heavy medicinal notes. Lemon peel, banana, vanilla and a hint of chamomile

Finish

Slightly peppery, dry, slightly sweet and mineral finale that lasts a long time.
