Vermouth Moderne, Denmark (17.5%, 75cl)

The Vermouth Moderne is created in collaboration between Den Klodsede Bjørn, led by Naja and Frederik, and Heiko Hoos in southern Germany. It is made from Gewürztraminer and Muskateller grapes from his cousin's vineyard. The flavor is phenomenal and the first sip always leaves you wanting more. This vermouth offers a fresh, tangy, and sweet taste, with hints of citrus, lemon verbena, juniper, coriander seeds, and specially cardamom which is quite dominant on the nose and palate.

The Italian influence is evident in its sweetness and spiciness. The aroma of the grapes used in its production is apparent, along with notes of grapefruit due to the high concentration of citrus fruits. It is reminiscent of a fusion of Mexican and Moroccan cuisine with its citrus and dry herb flavors. There may also be wine crystals at the bottom, which is a sign of quality as the wine is mineral-rich.
