Tapatio Blanco Tequila 110, 100% de Agave (55%, 50cl)
Tapatio Blanco Tequila 110, 100% de Agave (55%, 50cl)
Tapatío Blanco 55% is a tequila lover's dream, crafted from 100% agave by master distiller Carlos Camarena at the renowned La Alteña distillery in the Jalisco highlands. This is how a blanco tequila should taste – a symphony of mint, baked agave, pepper, and lime, all amplified by the high 55% alcohol content for an explosion of flavor and aroma. Skip the salt and savor it neat to experience the full intensity, or mix it into a margarita with fresh lime juice for a zesty cocktail. Its crystal-clear appearance hints at the enticing blend of green pepper, lime juice, apple, and a hint of cinnamon on the nose. The taste is intense, yet surprisingly smooth, with notes of freshly cracked pepper and vibrant citrus. You'll definitely notice the alcohol, but it's all part of the experience.
About Tapatio:
Nestled in the Los Altos highlands near Arandas, Mexico, the La Alteña distillery is home to Tapatio tequila. Founded in 1937 by Don Felipe Camarena after the family's original distillery was lost in the Mexican Revolution, La Alteña is now helmed by master distiller Carlos Camarena, who also oversees the production of renowned brands like Ocho, El Tesoro, and Excellia.
Tapatio is a testament to traditional tequila craftsmanship. Made from 100% blue agave, the piñas are baked in stone ovens before the juice is extracted and fermented naturally in oak and pine vats. The resulting liquid is then distilled in copper and steel stills, producing a range of tequilas. While the blanco rests briefly in stainless steel tanks, the reposado, añejo, and extra añejo expressions undergo varying periods of aging in American oak barrels to develop their complex flavors.
