Skinos Mastiha Spirit captures the essence of Chios, the only island in the world where the ancient Pistacia lentiscus tree "weeps" its precious resin. For over 3,000 years, this translucent "tear" of mastiha has been prized by emperors and healers alike—now reimagined as a crystal-clear spirit that bridges Greek tradition with modern craft.

The journey begins in June, when mastiha trees are carefully pricked to release their resin over weeks. After hand-cleaning by local women, the resin meets fine alcohol in bronze alembics, where fire distillation coaxes out its botanical intensity—piney, citrusy, with a whisper of sea salt. Blended with mineral water and a touch of sugar, the result is a 30% ABV spirit that’s both bold and silken.

Sip it chilled to channel Aegean summers, or mix into a Mastiha Martini (try it with bergamot bitters). Each bottle, sealed with Italian cork, carries the legacy of Chios’ volcanic soil and centuries of stewardship.
