Signatory Vintage Coastal Edition Batch 3 is a remarkable 50 year old single malt drawn from a single oloroso sherry butt and bottled at 43.1 percent ABV. After half a century of maturation, the whisky shows the composed, maritime character often associated with the northern coast of Islay rather than overt peat smoke.

Deep layers of dried fig, date and polished oak unfold slowly, joined by dark chocolate, walnut and a gentle saline thread that carries through the finish. The sherry influence is integrated rather than dominant, allowing the distillate’s natural coastal elegance to remain visible beneath the richness. With only 672 bottles released, this is a rare old malt that speaks more of refinement and quiet maturity than intensity.
