Planteray, Xaymaca Special Dry Rum, Jamaica (43%, 70cl)

Planteray Xaymaca Special Dry Rum is a Jamaican rum created by Maison Ferrand to highlight the traditional pot still style of the island in a dry and unadorned form. Distilled in Jamaica (Long Pond and Clarendon) using pot stills, it focuses on aromatic intensity rather than sweetness. The flavour leans into ripe banana pineapple and citrus peel, with clear fermentation character and a firm dry structure. Xaymaca was developed as a backbone rum for classic Jamaican drinks such as the Daiquiri, where brightness and funk are meant to stay front and centre rather than be softened by sugar.
