For more than 20 years, Plantation Rum Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel has explored the world of rum and its terroirs in search of traditional production methods.

For this one-time limited edition, he handpicked 20 casks from West Indes Rum Distillery in Barbados, the birthplace of Rum. 

In Plantation Rum's signature double-ageing technique, this unique expression aged 8 years in Barbados, then shipped by sea to the south-west of France, where it matured another year in French oak Ferrand Cognac casks. 

Staying true to the island traditional blending technique, this Barbados 2013 combines rum distilled in both column and the venerable Gregg pot still, dating back to the 19th century, for a mellow yet complex expression.
