Martha's 3 Tawny - The perfect gift for the port geek!

Martha's Wine & Spirits was established in 1727, in the Douro Valley in Portugal, by the Marta's family with their first vineyard. In the beginning, the Marta family just produced grapes that were sold to other wine producers, but six generations ago they started the port wine production themselves. Everything from harvesting, production, bottling and commercialization they are responsible for themselves, they are what you can call a field to bottle company.

Fine Tawny Port

4 years in oak barrels, is made with the grapes Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Amarela and Tinta Roriz and holds 19%.

Aroma: The ripe fruit blends well with roasted notes
Flavour: Smooth and round in taste with a fine balance between the dried fruits and the oak
Comment: Serve chilled and is good with cheese, fruit and nut tart or crème brulee. Also try Tawny Port & Tonic!

Martha's 10 year old Tawny

The wine is at 19%. A blend of 6 different grapes; Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Amarela and Tinta Roriz. With its deep classic tawny color and complex flavors of nuts and roasted aromas, the experience ends in a rich lingering delightful finish.

Flavour: Rich, balanced. Prominent alcohol
Finish: Full lingering lovely finish
Comment: Beautiful, deep red color - Perfect for heavier desserts. Served slightly chilled, is perfect on its own or combined with Portuguese omelette, nut tart or all kinds of "rich" desserts.

Martha's Fine White Port

A young delicate port. It has a light straw color and a distinct aromatic hint of honey. Served chilled and is great as an aperitif or ingredient in a cocktail. It goes well with food such as smoked fish and shellfish.
