Magnifica, XP Dupla Maturacao, Cachaca (43%, 70cl)

The Magnìfica de Faria Extra Premium is a cachaça from the state of Rio de Janeiro. The name Extra Premium doesn't just boast quality, it also means that the cachaça meets the requirement of at least 3 years of aging. It's made from fresh sugar cane juice, which is wild-fermented and distilled on pot stills. First, it ages for 1 year in large vats made from local ipê wood, and then 3 years in American oak barrels. The annual angel's share is relatively high, so after just 4 years, you have a beautifully mature and complex spirit. It is bottled at 43% alcohol.

Color: A golden hue.

Aroma: Give it a few minutes to open up in the glass, and you'll be rewarded with an elegant aroma of cedar, black pepper, salted lemons, fresh sugarcane juice, and... well, we could go on and on!

Taste notes: Reminiscent of a fine rhum agricole from Martinique.
