This expression brings a crisp, beautifully structured intensity that commands instant attention, offering a premium upgrade for high-end cocktail programs or curated flights. It is an incredible choice for heavy back-bar utility, delivering a punchy, vibrant character that stands up perfectly against citrus, vermouths, or bitter modifiers without losing its artisanal identity.

Los Danzantes Mezcal Joven is an artisanal mezcal produced in Santiago Matatlán, located in the Central Valleys region of Oaxaca, Mexico. Crafted at the historic Los Danzantes palenque, this liquid honors traditional methods under the careful guidance of master mezcalera Karina Abad.

The production utilizes 100% estate-grown Espadín agave, which is roasted in an underground stone pit using mesquite oak wood, crushed via a traditional horse-drawn stone tahona, and naturally fermented with wild yeasts in pine wood vats to the sound of classical music to aid the fermentation cycle. It is double-distilled in a small copper pot still and bottled at a robust 47% ABV, keeping the distillate completely unaged to preserve the raw, vibrant character of the plant.

The nose is bright and green, heavily defined by sweet cooked maguey, fresh cut grass, and aromatic herbs with just a very mild, restrained hint of smoke. On the palate, the higher proof carries a clean, silky texture that leads with a distinct fruit sweetness reminiscent of juicy agave and crisp citrus peel, backed by a subtle touch of pepper and spice. It finishes long, dry, and exceptionally clean, leaving a lingering, warm echo of sweet agave and soft wood ash.
