Le Nar Vermouth, Red Vermouth, France (17%, 75cl)

Le Nar is a rare and intriguing vermouth that melds Eastern and Mediterranean flavours with remarkable finesse. Crafted from a base of Colombard and Trebbiano Bianco wines, it is elevated by the pomegranate blossom from Uzbekistan—a nod to its name, “Nar,” meaning pomegranate in Turkish. This exotic flourish is complemented by black lime from Iran, offering a subtle smoky depth, while traditional botanicals such as wormwood, thyme, blackcurrant, chamomile, and bay leaf weave together in harmonious complexity. Every element is naturally sourced, culminating in a vermouth of exceptional aromatic richness and layered character.

The result is a deep red vermouth with an intricately layered nose—rich, spicy, smoky, and citrusy. On the palate, sweetness, bitterness, acidity, and fruitiness are masterfully balanced, leading to a long, satisfying finish.
