Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur is the result of patience, passion, and craftsmanship, with its roots deeply embedded in Durango, Mexico. It takes up to 6 years to grow the perfect coffee beans for Kahlúa, as the coffee cherries are cultivated in the shade, allowing them to develop deep, rich flavors. Once the dark red cherries are harvested, the beans are carefully extracted, dried, and rested for 6 months to achieve their full potential.
The journey doesn’t stop there. Kahlúa’s rum is made from sugarcane, with its juice extracted, boiled, and distilled to perfection. After up to 7 years of preparation, the roasted coffee beans and rum spirits finally meet in the distillery, blending together for 4 weeks to create a smooth, rich, and indulgent liqueur.
With its bold coffee flavor and hints of caramel and vanilla, Kahlúa is perfect for sipping neat, over ice, or in classic cocktails like the White Russian or Espresso Martini. Available at our Copenhagen store or for delivery across the EU, Kahlúa is a celebration of time, tradition, and taste.
