Heaven's Door, Single Barrel, Cask Strength Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Danish Collection 1 (59.21%, 70cl)

This very special edition from Heaven's Door Whiskey is a single cask bottling for the Danish market, and is only available in 192 bottles. It is a classic straight bourbon whiskey with a mash bill consisting of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% barley. The whiskey is matured for six years in a new American oak cask with char level #3, and subsequently bottled at cask strength of 59.21% alcohol.

On the nose you find fresh mint, digestive biscuits, marzipan, cinnamon and other welcoming Christmas spices. In the mouth, the whiskey is experienced as sweet and very voluminous. It offers notes of cherry, Madagascar vanilla, mocha, caramelized fruit and a light hint of coconut with an oily mouthfeel. The high alcohol is extremely well integrated and gives this whiskey incredible depth and complexity. A unique glass of whiskey!

Behind Heaven's Door Whiskey, which is named after Bob Dylan's immortal 1973 classic "Knockin' On Heaven's Door", stands Bob Dylan himself. Dylan, in collaboration with the whiskey icon Marc Bushala, who was behind the enormous success Angel's Envy Bourbon, created this wonderful series of American whiskey.
