The production relies on fresh, pure sugarcane juice extracted from local cane varieties. The juice undergoes double distillation in traditional copper pot stills, a process that preserves the vibrant grassy and floral nuances of pure cane rum while yielding a dense, aromatic spirit. Maturation takes place entirely at the distillery in ex-Cognac oak casks for 8 years in the tropical climate of Mauritius. Bottled at a cask strength of 63% ABV without chill filtration, coloring, or sugar additions, it represents a landmark expression of Mauritian pure single rum.

The profile is refined, complex, and expressive, balancing fresh sugarcane character with rich Cognac wood integration. The nose opens with vibrant aromas of ripe pineapple, banana, kiwi, and verbena, layered over notes of vanilla bean, warm cane sugar, and gentle baking spices like ginger and cinnamon. On the palate, the high proof offers a lively, coating texture delivering flavors of candied citrus peel, acacia honey, roasted tropical fruit, and delicate herbal nuances of eucalyptus and mint.
