The Glasgow Distillery Company is a quite young distillery that - as the name suggests - is based in Glasgow. The distillery was founded in 2014 and takes its name after one of Glasgow's original distilleries. The old Glasgow Distillery Company was founded all the way back in 1770 but had to close its doors in the early 1900s. When the new distillery was opened in 2014, it was the first single malt whisky distillery in Glasgow in over one hundred years.

The Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky Peated - Rich & Smoky is a bold and daring expression in the Glasgow 1770 Signature Range. Made from the finest malted barley, the whisky gets its smoky flavor from the aromatic heather-rich peat that grows in the Scottish Highlands. The whisky is matured in new oak casks with a finish in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, giving it a unique taste. It is non-chill filtered and has a natural color.
