Chilapan, a region in the low mountains of Guerrero, is an artisan village where Nahuatl is spoken and ancestral traditions are preserved. From the wild papalote agave that grows on the hills of Copalcouite, to its distillation in clay pots from Atzacoaloya, to offering it at patron saint festivals and spilling it in the petition for rain, it's all a living tradition shared and perpetuated by the descendants of the tiger-tecuani. Ritual and sacred, to be celebrated in style.
