El Tigre Lazaro, Agave Spirit, 100% Papalote (50.4%, 70cl)
Beautifully handpainted bottles from the Chilapan region of Guerrero, with some magical agave juice made from wild Papalote magueys.
Chilapan, a region in the low mountains of Guerrero, is an artisan village where Nahuatl is spoken and ancestral traditions are preserved. Each mezcal produced in this region is a part of that legacy, always offering a distinct flavor, a unique piece that is the product of the land and the hands that craft it. From the wild papalote agave that grows on the hills of Copalcouite, to its distillation in clay pots from Atzacoaloya, to offering it at patron saint festivals and spilling it in the petition for rain, it's all a living tradition shared and perpetuated by the descendants of the tiger-tecuani. Ritual and sacred, to be celebrated in style.
Agua bendita de las verdes matas" which is "Holy water from the green plants." However, this phrase is a reference to mezcal. In this context, it's a poetic way to describe mezcal, emphasizing its origin from the agave plant and its cultural significance.
