El Bagazo Tequila Reposado brings a subtle, refined wood influence to the pioneering tequila project led by Esteban Morales in Mascota, Jalisco. Created in the Sierra Occidental mountains, this project sets a new benchmark for sustainable spirit production by converting residual agave fiber, or bagazo, into renewable biomass fuel for the entire production process, packaged entirely in eco-conscious recycled materials.

The foundation begins with 100% Agave Tequilana Weber cooked in masonry pits using bagazo biomass, crushed by a traditional tahona stone mill, and fermented in 1,500 liter tanks. Following double distillation in stainless steel and copper alembic stills, this Reposado is aged for three months in French oak casks (Cabernet Sauvignon). Bottled at 42% ABV, it retains the core agility of the Blanco while taking on a dynamic medium body and complex oak accents.

The profile is warm, spiced, and beautifully rounded. The nose presents aromas of fresh straw, cooked agave, and warm wood spices. On the palate, rich cooked agave blends with notes of freshly cut wood, sweet raw honey, and gentle baking spices. The finish is structured, pleasant, and slightly dry, leaving lingering trails of sweet agave and oak spice.
