Daniel Bouju Sélection Spéciale is a Grande Champagne cognac from a small family producer in Saint-Preuil, where production has been artisan since 1805. It is the youngest cognac marketed by the house and comes from 100 % Ugni Blanc harvested from the estate’s own vineyards in the heart of Grande Champagne.
Produced in new Limousin oak barrels with both coarse and medium grain, this cognac opens with a delicate, fragrant bouquet where fruity and floral notes are complemented by a discreet hint of oak. On the palate the wine-based spirit is harmonious, round and supple, offering persistent fresh fruit character with a light and elegant presence rather than rich or aggressive intensity. The overall profile is accessible and balanced, making it an excellent introduction to Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie.
Enjoy this cognac slightly cool to accentuate its floral and fruit nuances. It works well neat, chilled or before a meal to appreciate the aromatic expression.
