Compagnie Des Indes Caraibes Rum is an elegant blended white spirit created by the French independent bottler Compagnie des Indes. The brand draws its core design concept from the historical East India companies of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, selecting specific regional distillates to reflect authentic, unmasked terroirs.

The production relies on a precise marriage of traditional molasses rums sourced from three distinct locations: Trinidad, Barbados, and Guyana. The individual distillates are primarily continuous column still rums, with Trinidad providing the largest structural component of the final profile. The rums are aged in the Caribbean in charred American oak ex-bourbon casks for a period of three to five years before being shipped to Europe. The components are then masterfully blended and brought down to 40% ABV, retaining a highly natural, pale straw-yellow color from the wood without any added sugar colorings.

The profile is light, highly aromatic, and approachable, presenting a clean structure with excellent balance. The nose is remarkably inviting and fruity, opening with distinct aromas of tropical fruits, sweet vanilla pods, and soft brown sugar, underscored by delicate hints of cinnamon, toasted oak, and a faint whisper of smoke. On the palate, the liquid is round and smooth, greeting the tongue with an elegant fruit sweetness that transitions into notes of grilled pineapple, buttery caramel, and subtle baking spices. The finish is remarkably fresh and crisp, leaving a persistent trail of warm spices and clean sugarcane juice.
