Katsumi Komagata, Sky
Just like the Chichibu Heavily Peated from the Antipodes Collection (and potentially made from the same batch of spirit, given the distillation year), this expression boasts deliciously peaty and smoky notes, as well as hints of salty charcoal grilled meats and a touch of medicine. And let's not forget the coastal vibes that bring to mind those famous Islay whiskies. Aged in a first-fill bourbon barrel.

Packed with rich and concentrated aromas, like buttery iris and tangy lemons, with a touch of nuttiness and curry spice. And just wait until you catch a whiff of that nougat!
The palate is full and powerful, with a remarkable balance of initial flavors such as vanilla, pineapple, and cedar. The mid-palate offers a harmonious blend of candied pear, banana, saltiness, and tangy lemon, followed by a luxurious hint of chocolate.
The finish is long and silky, bringing a refreshing touch of coconut milk and acacia honey, along with notes of candied lemon, walnut, and curry, showcasing the superior character of the noble oak.
