Chartreuse Le Génépi, Liqueur, France (40%, 70cl)

The Chartreuse mountains abound with herbs, and Genepi thrives particularly well, which includes several plants in the wormwood (artemisia) family. This liqueur is a traditional French delight that is often drunk as an aperitif. The recipe is secret and known only to the monks from Chartreuse.

Colour: Light golden.
Smell: The smell is fresh and complex, herbal, floral and minty.
Tasting notes: Sweet and slightly bitter with green herb notes.
