The inspiration for this remarkable fusion came from Mario, Cargo Cult’s brand ambassador in London, who discovered the exceptional harmony between bananas and Cargo Cult Spiced Rum in cocktails. Given the abundance of bananas in the South Pacific, the idea quickly took root.

After six months of dedicated experimentation and refinement, the result is an extraordinarily balanced, dry, and spiced rum with a wonderfully natural banana aroma and flavor. Unique in its category, the recipe is completely free of added sugar, allowing the rum’s authentic character to shine through.

Working with bananas is no easy feat, as they must be perfectly ripe to achieve the desired flavor. However, the sweet and spiced reward is well worth the effort, offering a truly exceptional tasting experience.

Each batch is handcrafted in small quantities, featuring two types of aged rum—one from a remote distillery in Papua New Guinea’s Ramu River Valley and another from a sun-drenched island in Fiji.
