Springbank 12 Years Cask Strength January 2026 Release is a single malt produced at the historic Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland. Springbank remains one of the last family owned and fully integrated distilleries in the country, performing every stage of production on site, from traditional floor maltings to final bottling.

The spirit undergoes the distillery signature two and a half times distillation process using lightly peated barley. For this January 2026 release, Springbank matured the liquid entirely in ex-bourbon casks, stepping away from sherry wood to showcase the pure, mineral-forward heart of their spirit. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 56.6% ABV without chill-filtration or added coloring.

The profile is bright, oily, and distinctly coastal. The nose opens with earthy minerality, sea salt, dried banana, granola, and fresh lemon zest wrapped in a subtle thread of peat smoke. On the palate, the thick texture delivers vibrant notes of grapefruit syrup, orange pith, bittersweet pomelo, and soft marshmallow sweetness. The finish closes with cocoa powder, glazed cherries, crunchy salted pretzels, and lingering campfire smoke.
