Habitation Velier Himmaleh Himalayan Pure Single Rum 2025 is a groundbreaking unaged white rum produced at the Himmaleh Spirits distillery in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, India, located in the foothills of the Himalayas. Released in collaboration with Velier, this bottling marks the first ever Himalayan Pure Single Rum and expands the boundaries of artisanal rum production into an entirely new terroir.

The rum is crafted from a blend of four sugarcane varieties grown in the region. Following fermentation with selected yeasts, the spirit is distilled entirely in traditional copper pot stills to capture maximum aromatic density and local character. Bottled unaged at 56% ABV without chill filtration, additives, or dilution, it boasts a total congener content of 318.1 g/hlpa, including 35.4 g/hlpa of esters.

The profile is fresh, complex, and vibrant, highlighting raw sugarcane terroir and expressive pot still intensity. The nose opens with aromas of fresh sugarcane juice, green grassy notes, lemon verbena, and white pepper, complemented by undercurrents of tropical fruit like unripe mango and papaya. On the palate, the high proof delivers a rich, oily texture with dominant flavors of crushed cane, citrus peel, tropical green fruits, and delicate mineral undertones. The finish is long, crisp, and clean, leaving lingering trails of fresh herbal greens, lime zest, and subtle peppery spice.
