Giffard Passion Fruit Syrup is a premium, non-alcoholic flavoring syrup produced by the historic family-owned Giffard distillery in Avrillé, located in the notable Pays de la Loire region of France. Founded in 1885 by local pharmacist Émile Giffard, the house has spent over a century perfecting the extraction of pure botanical and fruit flavors using traditional methods.
The production relies on 100% pure beet sugar dissolved in water, blended carefully with concentrated passion fruit juice and natural passion fruit aromas. Giffard maintains a high fruit standard, ensuring a minimum juice equivalence of 12% in the final recipe. The blend contains absolutely no artificial preservatives, instead relying on pasteurization to seal in the vibrant, fresh fruit characteristics before being packaged in a large 100cl bottle.
The profile is intensely tropical, bittersweet, and bright, presenting an oily, slightly cloudy texture with a hazy gold color in the glass.
