This perennial rebel thrives only in nutrient-poor mountain soil, requiring 4-5 years of growth before its prized roots are dug by hand, dried, and transformed into a liqueur of arresting complexity.

Its sunlit golden hue belies the depth within: aromas of wet earth, lemon zest, and alpine herbs give way to a palate both grassy and spicy, where sweetness wrestles with gentian’s signature bitterness.
