Espadín is the most commonly used agave type in mezcal. It generally takes 8-12 years to mature. Its high sugar levels secures a round and fruity taste. Awry's Espadín is fresh, young and has a smokey balance, cultivated on the fields surrounding the palenque where it is produced.
