Rey Campero meaning The King of the Countryside! Romulo Sanchez Parada grew up watching his old man making cooked agave into fine spirits. In his 20s he left for a better life in the states only to return a few years later to start his own brand of Mezcal, Rey Campero. When the brand as a whole is that connected with the production site, it just has a different vibe about it. You cut out the middle man, and instead you can give back to the communities by creating jobs and offering education within the trade. We found a bottle of his Jabali in a liquor store late 2013 and instantly after opening it we knew this had to come to Denmark.
