"Mezcales de Leyenda is one of the first brands to bring Mezcal from different Mexican states to Europe. According to Mexican law at the time of writing, production of Mezcal is legal in 9 different states: Oaxaca, Durango, Zacatecas, Puebla, Michoacan, Guanajuato, Tamaulipas, Nayarit and San Luis Potosi. They of course all have their own qualities, micro climates and ways of producing.
First time we sipped this Mezcal was in Berlin 2010, and it was also the first time we tried Mezcal from outside of Oaxaca. Leyenda is doing solid work with their producers and only bottles fair trade and organic Mezcals."
