We host specialist vermouth tastings in Copenhagen, backed by our experience running Paloma, our dedicated vermouth bar.
While many see vermouth as simply a cocktail ingredient, we present it as a category in its own right, wine based, botanically layered and defined by regional tradition.
Tastings can be arranged at Paloma, at Shoppen or at The Barking Dog depending on group size and timing. Groups of 6 or more can plan their session through our tasting enquiry form, and we will tailor the lineup to your interests and experience level.
A Vermouth Tasting Built Around Tradition and Craft
Our tastings explore vermouth as it was intended: as a balanced, aromatic and complex aperitivo.

We build each lineup from our carefully curated vermouth collection, drawing on producers who respect both the wine and the botanical tradition.
What to Expect
A standard vermouth tasting lasts approximately one hour and includes five selected expressions.
During the session we cover:
- The role of base wine
- Botanical structure and bitterness
- Regional styles and sweetness balance
- Serving traditions and aperitivo culture
The atmosphere is relaxed, reflective and conversational. This is an experimental and immersive tasting. It is about nuance, balance and personal preferences.
Where we host
Many vermouth tastings are hosted at Paloma, our dedicated vermouth bar in Copenhagen, where the atmosphere naturally complements the category.
Earlier sessions are usually held at Paloma, while evening tastings are better suited to The Barking Dog for larger groups or at Shoppen for smaller, more intimate gatherings.
