Springbank may be famous for its single malt, but don't miss out on their award-winning Campbeltown Loch - a blended malt that mixes different single malts for a truly unique taste. No grain whiskey here, just top-notch quality. This beauty blends 5 different single malts from the town's three distilleries: Springbank, Longrow, and Hazelburn from Springbank Distillery, as well as Kilkerran and Glen Scotia. Aged in bourbon and sherry casks, it has a classic 46% ABV. Don't underestimate its value - this whiskey has the "Springbank magic" in spades. Colour: Amber. Nose: Classically Campbeltown with a hint of ocean breeze, buttery goodness, Christmas cake, and toasted nuts. Plus a hint of smoke for good measure. Delicious! Tasting notes: Creamy and smooth, with flavors of freshly roasted coffee, salted caramel, dates, and brown sugar. The long and complex finish has hints of mild smoke.
Springbank is now in the 5th generation of the Mitchell family. The distillery and practice reach back into the old times of a one site production. Since 1828, Springbank has focused on whisky with the Campbeltown flair, maintaining many of the traditional processes used by their ancestors. The team at Springbank is dedicated to quality, and is the only distillery in Scotland to produce three different malts on one site, giving the whisky drinker a mix of tastes and experiences to enjoy.
The distillery is located in Campbeltown, situated on the southern side of the Kintyre Peninsula on the west coast.
